Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines Debuts at the Top Spot on the ‘Billboard’ Top 200 Chart!
August 12, 2013 --Robin Thicke’s sixth studio album, Blurred Lines, (Star Trak/Interscope Records) has claimed the top spot on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. With this achievement, Robin is celebrating the first #1 record of his career. The artist reached another milestone this week when Blurred Lines sold more than 170,000 units- Robin’s biggest week of sales ever. The collection’s title track and No. 1 hit , featuring T.I. & Pharrell, also continues its full-scale domination of the airwaves with more than 400,000 singles sold this past week. Earlier this month, the track broke the record for the highest radio audience ever recorded. This follows on the heels of the hit breaking the record for biggest-single week downloads so far this year when it racked up more than 428,000 during the week ending June 23rd. “Blurred Lines” has also reached No. 1 in 102 countries around the world and has been certified 4x-platinum with more than 4 million in sales to date. The eye-catching video, directed by Diane Martel, has racked up more than 104 million views on YouTube. "Blurred Lines" album has also debuted #1 on the UK and Canadian national charts. In addition to the album’s single success, Blurred Lines has generated some of the most positive critical response the artist has received in his career.The collection is being sold as a standard 11-song package, a deluxe package that features three bonus tracks, and as a special deluxe edition, which includes the three bonus tracks plus two remixes.
